Just look at the numbers. They do not lie. Numbers don’t lie. We litter. We trash our world. It is the only one we have.
I took this picture in 2010 when I participated in the Coastal Cleanup program. I could attest to the cigarette butts. Each time I volunteer for a cleanup program, that’s the most item I collect. I thought people stopped smoking?

Those numbers certainly do NOT lie…too many cigarette butts lying around for sure. But we all NEED to take part in keeping our countries clean.

I have no doubt that cigarette butts are the number one thing, sweeping my street will attest to that. I agree, as a Californian, I assume everyone I see smoking is a European, but alas, not true. Sad commentary on our world that littering is so prevalent.
