Photo Hunt #189: Empty/Water

12 Oct

Fetch me some glacial water, will ya?

In 2007 we took a cruise to Alaska. At the port of Skagway, Alaska, we took a tour to the White Pass and Yukon Territory area. When our water bottles were empty, our tour guide got a kick of telling us to fill our bottles with fresh glacial water from the waterfalls that was serendipitously located by the roadside. Here my husband volunteered to fill the bottle for both of us. The water was ice cold and so fresh, the yummiest I’ve had.

And thirsty is the theme for me looking at this picture! My filtered water just isn’t going to quench my thirst like that stream would is it? What a fun picture and definitely perfect for both memes!

I had a similar experience with the fountains in Rome – who knew it was fresh water from the mountains gurgling out of the fountains?

Great shot for this week’s theme.

    Have a super weekend.

the rocks look dangerous and yet your hubby braved them. it must be worth it to fill the empty stomach and quench the thirst!
