Lungi is a traditional garment worn around the waist by men in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia a few other Asian Countries. It’s like a sarong for men. You see men walk around in lungi everywhere.

I am just going to shoot from the hip here and say I believe that Italian cuisine has a more global appeal than Chinese cuisine….go ahead discuss 🙂

The local beer. It’s pretty good. Our friend who traveled with us makes it a point to drink the local beer in every country he goes to. We suggested to go further with this quest. Why not collect all the bottle caps and mount it and display it in his house as souvenirs. He agreed that our idea was fantastic and he started doing it with this beer.
Restaurants with chalkboard menus are very appealing to the hubs and I. We feel that they only serve what’s fresh and what’s in the market that day. Here we only sampled their tamales. I have a deep love for them, LOL!
I witnessed act of kindness by these youth group from Sikh religion serving meals for random people on the street and the homeless. I believe that the Sikh followers have a ministry to feed people. What a wonderful life lesson that these young people are learning.
We know that street performers dress up in silly costumes to make people smile or laugh. Some dress up in super hero costumes, others are painted in gold or silver from head to foot. Since these performers are doing their performances outdoors (street!), there are a few that can really be considered a homerun when it comes to pushing the limit.
One of the silliest, if not the silliest, I’ve seen so far is this guy from Barcelona. For those who have visited this blog for years, you have seen this image before, but I cannot think of anything sillier outdoors than this image.

For today’s letter I, I chose inscription. I found a durable inscription on the fence of the Armenian Church in old Dhaka in Bangladesh. Who would have thought there were Armenians in Bangladesh in the early days?
And this inscription on a headstone inside the compound of the Armenian church. I find it a bit humorous.
