After the lazy summer days and before the hectic holiday season is the best time to take a short breather. Step away from the computer, hang up my blogging jacket, and take a walk. Inhale deeply, release exultantly. Take a lot of photos and come back reenergized. Ready to tackle the memes again.
See you soon.

I wonder why people throw coins in the creek. It’s the same creek that salmon use to swim to the ocean. I was lucky to visit the park when the salmon were rushing to the ocean. What an awesome sight that was.

There is a little park that has this wonderful fountain in a man-made pond. The local gov’t used to put crawfish in the pond so that locals can fish them out. I see no one fishing here lately, the gov’t probably has no more budget for crawfish.
Last year perhaps it was when news of a large flesh-eating fish being found and caught in this pond circulated around town. The authorities surmised probably the fish outgrew the aquarium it was in and the owners thought that best way to dispose of it was free it in this pond.

Today is Labor Day, let us honor the workers and thank the opportunity of labor that we have. And pray that those who are out of work will find one soon.

There is absolutely nothing WRONG when people want to get their picture taken with a tree. However, in this particular case is quite different. There was a “line” of people who wanted their picture taken by and with this tree. Made me wonder if this tree was popular or something 🙂
