Photo Hunt #170: Artificial/Fresh

In Fonda Vela (Costa Rica), we were served freshly made pineapple-mango-papaya marmalade, made from fresh fruits, no artificial preservatives. My dining companions went crazy over the marmalade that the waiter gave us this bowl of the good stuff. They normally give you a very small bowl, like a rameken size. Me? I thought the “good stuff” was a tad too sweet, which soured my taste for it. But it was good.

The marmalade was served with this.

Sky Watch #180:

A drive-by sunset. Other than resizing and putting my “signature” on the image, this is as SOOC as it can get. I love how the camera captured the flaming sky. I am an auto focus kind of shooter, because I haven’t learned how to manipulate and shoot under the other settings on the camera. But I thought auto setting takes a good enough shot. December 31, 2011, somewhere in Berkeley.

Signs, Signs #59:

I revisited my albums in Flick’r and found that I do have more photos of signs that I haven’t shared. This is what I get by being a pathologic shooter, I end up with hundreds of photos.

Anyway, for today I’m sharing a sign I took at the Agora Museum in Acropolis (Athens, Greece).

The museum is open daily, but closed on Mondays 🙂

Thought I’d show a little bit of the museum too.

This is my fave shot.

The interior is airy, bright, and very clean.

Monday Mural #2:

The CARNAVAL mural is a block long mural on Harrison Street between 18th and 19th Street in the city’s (SF) Mission District. The artist is Joshua Sarantitis. I don’t know anything about the artist, but his work is excellent.

Maybe next time I’d go back and photograph the mural in its entirety.

Photo Hunt #169: Shoes/Spicy

Ever since I’ve been playing the combined photo hunt on Friday/Saturday, I’ve been able to – by stroke of luck – easily combine the themes into one image. This week, however, I could not find an angle where they could be combined. And so I’m doing them separately this week.

For GATTINA’S KEYHOLE PICTURES PHOTO HUNT, she chose SHOES. This is my entry for shoes.

Could only do window shopping for shoes. Taken in one of the hotels along the Las Vegas Strip, Bellagio I believe.

Caricaturist sign spotted along the SF waterfront, the one teeming with tourist. I doubt if this is still the going rate for a caricature, since this shot was captured in 2008.
