Near San Francisco is this popular tidepooling spot James Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. I took shot of the signs 🙂
During low tides, you see incredible underwater sights like this.
And also during low tides, large beds of mussels are exposed, so tread carefully.

I find it interesting that tsunami signs are posted on the West Coast. Sounds very wise to me.
I guess some people must be tempted to collect mussels and other wildlife there, hence the signs.

What an awesome contribution. I loved the strong wording on the signage. It definitely got the point across well. The shot of low tide was the really amazing picture for me. I cannot even imagine seeing so many muscles right there in front of me. Great captures of the signs, the water, and the mussles.

I have never seen a tsunami hazard sign! Quite unexpected but a great idea! An incredible sight seeing a host of mussels like a carpet!

That is a lot of signage, but all of looks necessary and useful.

Those mussels are huge and incredibly beautiful when it gets low tide. A photographers haven for sure. ^_^

Lots and lots of signs, I can see why though, such an attraction can easily be loved to death.

Those are interesting signs, especially the tsunami warning. Your photo of the underwater life is fabulous.

The signs are interesting, but the low tide shots are absolutely wonderful. I sure hope we have time to do some tide-pool “crawling” when we get back to Oregon this summer.
