This photo is a product of dirty lens. See the little black dots? That’s not due to rain even though it was a rainy day in Napa when I snapped this shot. My little point and shoot had gotten its lens dirty and try as I might to clean and clear it up to no avail. Since the camera is fairly new, we called the company to check for the warranty to see if cleaning the lens was covered. Thankfully, it was. We sent back the camera and had gotten it back in less than 2 weeks’ time.
I hope to be able to produce “clean” images from now on and I will be more careful with my point and shoot.

This is a very clever take on the theme my friend 🙂 Happy photo hunting with a clean lens!

Perfect shot for the theme. If you hadn’t told us the lens was dirty, I would have assumed it was the rain.

Lovely, lovely shot –it is marvelous colorwise and compositionwise. You can get rid of all those spots very quickly in Photoshop– it is such a great image that, f you don’t have it, ask a friend who does to help. It’s too good to leave as is!!

Some people might have thought “UFOs in the photo!” there! :b
More seriously, am glad you managed to get your camera lens cleaned — and that doing so was covered in the warranty. 🙂

I didn’t even notice the dirty lens, I was awed by the stunning view.

I think the spots just add a bit of charm and texture to the shot. Am I seeing hay bales there in the background? That is all we are seeing here in VA, and I am horribly allergic to the stuff when it is airborne after that first cutting. In the house I am staying this weekend when I would love to be outside.

I wonder how all that dust made its way into the camera. Glad you got it cleaned. I’ve got some spots I can’t get rid of on my Nikon…ugh…
