ABC Wednesday #60: I

09 Sep

For today’s letter I, I chose inscription. I found a durable inscription on the fence of the Armenian Church in old Dhaka in Bangladesh. Who would have thought there were Armenians in Bangladesh in the early days?

And this inscription on a headstone inside the compound of the Armenian church. I find it a bit humorous.

    Fascinating inscriptions.
I wouldn’t expect to see the Armenian plaque there.
I guess the wife really did like that husband the best.

The fact that it goes back hundreds of years makes it all the more fascinating to me. What a sweet inscription for a husband!

How interesting that Armenians settled in Bangladesh and have left their mark. Great headstone find.
