Monday Mural #19:

This mural is called Nature’s Bounty. Painted on the walls of North Coast Co-op 4th Street between B and C Streets in Eureka, California. There are 6 20-ft panels to complete this mural and was completed in 2007. I don’t know who the artist is. But this is one of the murals in the thriving mural scene in Eureka.

A little closer look. Was intending to do a DIY mural tour, but it was raining heavily so we just drove by and saw a few of them, shooting from inside the car.

According to the date on the murals they are only a few moths old. There’s plenty of detail in them to examine.

Lots going on in these murals! I love it when communities take pride in their area – it is always nice when they tell a story too! Very nice!

I like the kind of distant planet, sci-fi feel to this, and it’s topical for the harvest season too.

These murals remind me of the midwestern regional artists of the 30s. Respectful and romanticized visions of rural life. Very compelling images. Thanks for sharing them with us and for contributing to Monday Mural.
