Photo Hunt #183: Zany/Workplace

06 Jul

I’ve been to a few cruises and I couldn’t help but admire the people who call this floating vessel their workplace. Majority of them come from far-away lands like India, Philippines, Indonesia and African nations. They are far from their families for months at a time. They have to indure loneliness and long long hours of work.

Could you imagine what a zany workplace this is? Not only do they serve you with all their might making sure you are making the most of your holiday, they also have to perform for you at the nighttime show towards the end of your cruise.

Cruises are such a relaxing and fun filled adventure. I applaud the dedicated workers who worked diligently to serve the customers.

This is a great (dare I say ‘zany’) take on the themes. Thanks for a very enjoyable post.

What a great idea for the theme. That would be a zany workplace with one disadvantage being that if you wanted to quit it might be hard to jump ship, literally.

There may be many cruise ships floating about on the world’s oceans and seas but yeah, I still am inclined to think of them as unconventional — and, yes, at times zany — places in which to work!

They have to work very hard, even the ones who are “only” engaged for entertainment. Great choice for the themes!
    Happy weekend. zany ~ workplace

My fiancΓ© is a musician who plays in a couple of bands from the 80s, and they were both part of a metal cruise earlier this year! I’m not a cruise person (“What if I want to get off the boat??? What if the internet fritzes out!!!!”) so I stayed home.

I think you have to do that while you’re young! LOL! I’d rather be a guest at this point in my life! Great way to see the world, though…

I remember how I so enjoyed my Alaskan cruise and this is because of the Filipino crew. They were the warmest.
