I was driving from Monterey yesterday when I captured these shots from the front seat of the car. It was a long drive. The weather forecast called for drizzle in the central coast. And just like last year at this time, it was raining – not just drizzling. So I was happy to see the cloudscapes that kept me company throughout the drive home. Photos were taken on Highway 101.

These are wonderful sky pictures — the clouds are interesting and beautiful. I have to agree that your third picture looks like more than ‘drizzle’ is coming down.

I love that highway and it is so nice to see a little of it again. Smashing clouds, the third shot appeals to me particularly with the darkened and moody landscape.
