I love trees when they are this tall.
Even when they lean.
And when they don their fall attire.
Or shed their leaves for winter’s slumber.

Looks like your first pic was taken in Yosemite? Trees tall enough to give shade are very welcome in this neck of the woods (California -because of the sun!)

Yes it does look like Yosemite. But this was in Armstrong Redwoods Park in Guerneville.

Your tree shots are wonderful. I especially like the first which contrasts the person with the height of the old growth trees.

No one seems to be able to go with just one photo this week. Too many wonderful tree photos!
Happy weekend to you.

What a great sequence of trees. I also love them when they get very tall. That’s one of the things I love about visiting my brother who lives in Mill Valley, CA. We go to Muir woods and drink in the extremely tall trees. I haven’t been there though since I got into photography so the only shots I have from there are family shots. It was fun shooting my nephews in Muir Woods and the scale against the trees was fun.

Me too (three, four?)….. Your pictures are beautiful and remind me of a set of four pictures that my parents had over their mantel, depicting the four seasons in one tree. (Yours are prettier than those actually!)

I really like this photo sequence of trees in all seasons. The composition of that first picture is wonderful.

All your choices for this week’s Photo Hunt are great. Have to say though that the first shot is the most striking. It really makes you realize how humans are such a small part of the world.

There is something magical about walking amongst very tall trees. Since the majority of the trees in Australia are evergreens I miss seeing the trees shed their leaves in Autumn.
