Watery Wednesday #75: Lake Merritt (Oakland)

21 Sep

IMG_0583

Lake Merritt is close to work. Sometimes when my husband has time off and I have to work he would take me here to spend my lunch break – mostly consisting of banh mi, or Vietnamese sandwiches. There are wonderful Vietnamese restaurants around the vicinity. Nothing beats the frehness of banh mi and the crispness of the bread in combination with sun and fresh air to rejuvenate me to tackle the next four hours of work.

There are plenty more watery images at WATERY WEDNESDAY. Thanks to ms 2sweetnsaxy for hosting.

around this area the banh mi costs from $2.50 to $3.00 so very affordable and tasty.

i think the pickled veggies has a lot to do with the taste. haven’t replicated it yet. now that you mention, i must try spam banh mi 😀

Great place to enjoy lunch. Reminds me of a place I visited in Santa Barbara.

What a fantastic shot. Haven’t been to Lake Merrit in a long time. Have to get out there again one of these days. I like your blog.
