Sky Watch #98:

08 Jul

For our wedding anniversary in May, I booked our overnight stay in this oceanfront hotel/resort, lured by the hotel’s website’s images of glori0us sunsets.  However, May was a rainy month, atypical for this region, and it was drizzling and overcast as we pulled up to the hotel’s parking.  This was all the sunset there was.  I still would love to return one day to hopefully see that sunset.

SKYWATCH is a weekly gathering of sky lovers and sky watchers.  Join us.

I think the sunset you did get is so beautiful. Looks like a lovely place. I hope you do get to go back.

Thanks for visiting mine and yes we are getting the terrible heat. Oddly though when the northeast was at its worse, my state which is southeast (although not deep south, NC where I live is just below DC and VA)was cooler. Saturday was our first pleasant day in a while but the heat is back with a vengeance.

The building forms a leading line out to the ocean, nice cloud pattern as well. I like the seagull about to leave frame.
