Following a couple of years of “drought”conditions, the water level at Kings River inside Kings Canyon NP was pretty low. This was taken two years ago on a camping trip. With a significant amount of rainfall this winter and quite a good showing of snowfall, I can’t wait to return this summer to revisit an old friend who when I first visited years ago was a roaring, thundering river.

One of my favorite kind of spots to visit. I love running water and streams. It’s kind of sad when you can actually see the change in water levels.

We had a drought here in Tennessee three years ago and it is wonderful to see the difference in water flow after a two normal years.

Here in the Philippines, the El Nino phenomena already started to strike the country.

If the sloping banks are its high water mark, then this is very low. But I guess that makes it safer for bathers. I can’t wait for your pictures of the river at its roaring finest!

Philippines is experiencing drought this year… that is why brownouts are rampant..

That’s quite an impressive creek, especially after I saw how tiny the people were. I did a creek also, but much smaller. And greener. I like your photo very much.

Many summers I camped in Kings Canyon with my parents. I haven’t been there in years. Maybe Hubby and I should go.

Wow, people are dwarfed by King Canyon. I just hope the low water level is not permanent.
Here in the Philippines, some provinces are in drought because of El Nino. Some provinces were even declared under state of calamity because of this. Too much for summer.
