Skywatch#75:

28 Jan

“No rain in the forecast………until tomorrow.” That’s what I heard on the radio today as I drive to work.  I don’t need to hear that no rain is expected today, because for the first time in a week or so we are bathed in glorious sunshine and up there is nothing but blue skies and for decorations some wispy white clouds.

The picture above shows  a summer blue sky.  This is a church that I always pass by on the way to Sebastopol, this area’s main apple growing region – gravenstein apple.

Skywatch is a weekly gathering of sky watchers and sky lovers. Join us.

Lovely colors in your photo – the deep rich red of the church’s dome really sets a tone. It is a vivid blue sky, too.

I lived in Sonoma County for many years and just reading the name Sebastopol makes me nostalgic. So glad you are finally having some clear skies. I heard it was almost like Seattle lately there for you, just all gray all the time. Anyway, love the cheery photo, and your very enjoyable blog.

I know all to well what you mean about blue skies!! When we had a couple last week, I commented to some people that there was a strange light in the sky, and I thought it might be called “the sun”, and how I had read about it! It really was even better than the fog!

What a perfect blue sky. And I like the church as well. We don´t have this kind of architecture here, so it seems like from a fairytale to me:-)
