Skywatch #73

14 Jan

When I took this shot almost a year ago, I knew it had to be a post for Skywatch.  So imagine my shock (!) in learning that I never showed this image on skywatch all last year!

This was taken in Grand Canyon.  I was admiring the canyon and turned 180 degrees and looked up, saw this, and instantly my brain said: SKYWATCH.  Here it is.

Skywatch is a weekly gathering of sky lovers and sky watchers.

Especially in places like the grand canyon, the greatness and goodness of God’s creation and His power and might will hit you. Makes you wonder how some people do not believe in God when they see such glorious creations.

That’s amazing. The snow looks like clouds or clouds look like snow. The rocks and tree are also fantastic. I’m so glad you posted it.

Gorgeous sky, ewok! Is that a cairn? A very tall cairn if it is… 🙂

Teach, I did not see nor look for any marker to indicate such. But it does look like a cairn, isn’t it?

Wonderful shot, I’m glad you remembered it so we can enjoy.
Isn’t it nice to have a little sun for a change? I guess the storm chased away the fog for a bit. I had jury duty in that old courthouse but now there is a new one in Roseville so I probably won’t have further reason to go inside.

This is a wonderfully composed shot! I love the rock tower, so straight and pointing skyward, right against the gracefully curved tree like a wave in the wind. Beautiful!
