Watery Wednesday #39

29 Dec

Sausalito Marina, originally uploaded by M’roy.

A couple of years ago my husband and I celebrated his birthday by taking a day off. I asked him to play tourist in our own backyard and walk around Sausalito and enjoy the late November day. I remember the weather was sunny and very pleasant at around 60 F. We took pictures all over the marina and this is one of them. I always associate this image with his b/day. We capped the night with a lovely dinner at Chez Panisse. It was a perfect day from the time we got up to the time we turned in.

This year we celebrated his birthday by battling jetlag πŸ™‚

Beautiful shot, it sparkles. I could tell it wasn’t taken today, I could see the gray skies extending across the valley over to the bay.
I think jet lag for his birthday was a small price to pay for that wonderful trip youv’e been showing us.

Very lovely scene, especially with the reflections on the water and the bristly masts. Hope you got to celebrate his birthday well after the jetlag wore off.

Happy Watery Wednesday and happy new year too!

I love marinas like this – especially the sounds of the masts and rigging clinking as the boats move.

    Happy New Year!

I had to look twice at this photo…I took one so much like it except it was taken at Dana Point Harbor, California. The two photographs are so similar. I haven’t posted mine yet. This is a fabulous scene, right?
