How do you feel about corridors and hallways? Call me scare-d cat but I am quite apprehensive about them, especially when I find myself traversing one by myself. As a matter of fact, I don’t want to even venture out the length of one by my lonesome.
You must have guessed I am not a big fan of horror movies by now. I think the uneasiness was brought about by old horror movies I have seen growing up where the lady actor always gets in trouble in long hallways or corridors.
I may be afraid, but I still see the beauty in them so I take photos.
It’s a very personal MY WORLD post for me today. Care to share what makes you jumpy?

What scares me here, with the carpeted floors, is… static electricity. 🙂

I have never thought about corridors! But now that you have shown these photos, I can see the beauty in them – especially the second one. I don’t think they scare me…!

Oh that too, high places and I are not really friends.

Terrific shots! There is something almost mesmerizing about them. But, yes, I remember such scenes from horror movies — which I stopped going to when I was still quite young, never liked that scared silly feeling I got when I did go! But what can I say??? I’m a little weird, too!
Have a great week!

Those shots almost feel like a horror movie moment. I don’t like hotel corridors late at night. The thing that makes me jumpy though are enclosed spaces like elevators.

Terrific photos, I would have to say closed in spaces make me nervous.

There is something sinister about hotel hallways — the prize of the room doesn’t help either! Great photos.

Reminds me of “REDRUM”

You’ve captured the eeriness perfectly. It always seems as if there should be something at the other end, and not necessarily something good.

I have lived that life. Those places are so impersonal.

Great captures, I usually don’t pay much attention to them but some designer obviously put a lot of effort into these.

Funny, I took a corridor shot a couple of weeks ago. We were just coming back in from a fire drill in a hotel. A bit of a bizarre morning.
Great shots.Maybe if you look at them with one eye closed they won’t be so 3-D?!

I like taking photos of them too. Love the floor in the second.

Ohmy! I know exactly how you feel! I know it’s crazy but I always imagine monsters behind all those closed doors.

Remember “The Shining” with Jack Nicholson? It took place in an empty hotel in Colorado? snowed in for the Winter. “REDRUM” Joe Todd knows what I mean! Great corridor photo though, ewok!

Wow, those corridors look neat and the lights just add beauty.

I think the pictures are more frightening than being there. Usually when I arrive at a hotel, a hallway like this makes me pause, but then I forget all about it..
