This is the best $6 I’ve ever spent (well $12 both ways, still best value). For that amount I got to see Mendenhall Glacier, what a bargain! Thank heavens for bargain hunting husband who refused to sign up for any tour when our cruise ship docked in Juneau, Alaska. We knew that the glacier was the only place we wanted to see and we had a budget to consider so this one’s really a good find.
Signs, signage, paths, road and the like are aplenty at TWTW with Ms. Tink hosting. Go visit the site and hope you can join us.

That is the best way I guess to do a budget trip, never sign up for those tours. I also do tours on my own.

There are few places that signing up for tours is the most convenient way, but in this case there wasn’t anything else we wanted to do here so DIY worked best for us.

I would love to clamber on that bus to see a glacier! And what a bargain! Great shot!

Thanks, the driver was a proud resident so he took it upon himself to act as a tour guide 🙂

You got me thinking if I ever did make a post about the glacier. I did post some photographers taking shots of the glacier but not the actual glacier. I will definitely have to remedy that. Thanks.

agree on not signing up on group tours when you can DIY. i’m lucky to have a set of friends whose idea of travel includes the adventures of exploring a city or country on our own, getting lost included. 🙂

Getting lost is part of the charm of traveling. It’s the salt that makes one’s trip tasty.

ewok, I’d love to see the glacier. Did you take pictures? Did you post any of them? I’ll have to take a look back at your previous posts! Come visit my TWTW post! 🙂

My feelings for hallways? Oh I have a funny experience about a hallway. No time telling it now that I am stuck here in the computer when I should be going out.
Anyway, I don’t mind these hallways, the carpets are very pretty. Lovely photographs!
