When I snapped this photo in 2007, the Winter Olympics was a long way to go.  But looking at this now, it’s only a year. I hope all the facilities that needed building were built and the road to Whistler has been widened.  They were doing some construction work to Hwy 99 when we were there.

Do you have images of streets, paths, signs, signage?  Share it with us here at TWTW.

I see some graffiti on the welcome sign, and it is sad. I hope construction was done in due time.

Graffiti is disgustingly everywhere. Same here.

I thought the Olympic 2010 is in London?

Anyway, I wish the all will go well. I like their Olympic Logo.

The Vancouver winter olympics is definitely on the go. Lot’s of new construction going on and of course, publicity in the media here 😉

I know what you mean, one does get caught in a meme kind of trap, once you join you feel you must attempt to post something each week and when your in several memes there is not much time left for random thoughts. But it is so nice getting all the lovely comments from the meme posts from all around the world, I am trying for as many different countries as I can but although there are about a hundred or so to go, I seem to have come to a point where almost all the usual countries flags are registered and now I must find the more unusual ones. Fun.
