My World 1: De Young Museum

20 Oct

view from de young museum, originally uploaded by airam94564.

My world is the San Francisco Bay Area.

For my initial entry, I am showing you a view of the outside from the second floor of the De Young Museum located inside Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. This was taken a couple of years ago.

Along with fabulous views and superb eats, San Fran bay area is a must go for its museums like this one.

The same group of wonderful people who brought us Skywatch is now hosting My World, which I am hoping will be as successful as Skywatch.Β  Go check them out.

This looks like a fun place. My kids would LOVE it!

Isn’t it nice to find a place that both young and the young at hearts can enjoy? Thanks for the visit.

Cool – by the way last time I was there, I lost a safety pin. If you happen to find one, can you please send it over to Florida?
Great contribution – just what I was hoping for!
    Cheers, Klaus

Thanks Klaus. I think this new meme has a good start, thanks to you and the group. As soon I finish digging this up, I’ll have it fedexed to you in the sunshine state.

Ewok: What a really neat park, the bay area is neat and I’m sure you have so much to show.

My friend, Fishing Guy, this part of the world is oft photographed and I hope I can show something that’s not way too common and popular to outsiders, just like this one. See you next week.

The giant safety pin is too funny and the museum grounds are beautiful!

I don’t know is this is a representation of bay area sense of humor.

Gee, I’ve been to SF many times, but never took in this museum. It will be a “must see” next time! Great start to this new fun meme! πŸ˜€

You must come back and pay us another visit here. We could use your tourism money, since the economy is down πŸ˜€

Thanks for the wonderful trip around your place. So very much different from my place but I do wanna share my place also to you. Great job.

Cool photo πŸ™‚ I’m really looking forward to exploring your world, I enjoyed visiting SF very much, but I only had three days.

Some places you can circle twice over in 3 days, not SF. You must come back. πŸ˜€

A photoblogging friend has one of San Francisco bay taken from his balcony….is surely an awesome place!

Perdible ba yan? Anlaki! hahaha I think the kids would enjoy it there….fun family place!

Siguro hula ko naubusan na ng inspiration ang artist na gumawa dito kaya perdible na lang ang naisipang gawin. Pero cute siya ano?

Oh cool — you live in the Bay Γ…rea too…
Curiously, the last time I was at the deYoung (I’ve only been twice to the new building) I got a shot from that exact same spot — I got a snap of a mother taking a picture of her two kids climbing on the bottom portion of the safety-pin…
    Click for image
Now, I’ve got to check out the rest of your blog…

I have linked you to my other blog/photoblog. Yes, your shot of mother and her kids is funny too. When I was there people were not coming near it. Can’t wait to see more of your—err our world thru your lens next week.

What a wonderful and fanciful shot. I love the enormous safety pin. My brother lives just outside San Francisco (he used to live in the city) and although I don’t make it much to the west cost, I always love it when I do.

It’s nice to know you have bay area connection. So none of this is new to you. See you next week, err this week for skywatch.

Hate to see the diaper that goes with that pin.

I wont be surprised if someone indeed sculpt a huge diaper to match this.
