Went to attend Christmas Day mass last year at a Catholic church and found this sign, which I find a little funny, no disrespect. I am questioning the reasoning behind the sign. What compelled the church officials to put in this sign? Did they think Catholics really ONLY pray to statues?

Just guessing, but I would interpret it as the church administration’s attempt at humor, reminding the congregation that the statue is not necessary for the prayers to be heard/received.
Thanks for your visits and comments on my blogs.

Perhaps it’s a Protestant playing a joke:-)

hehehe were they restoring her ears?:p
maybe they’re trying to be funny, that’s all, and to encourage parishioners to come to church even without their favorite statue.
