This is a mural in front of the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Services in Oakland, CA. When I captured this image, I thought the place was a medical clinic, but I found out that it’s actually a school teaching ancient form of Asian medicine like accupuncture, etc.

Bright and effective- I far prefer murals to advertise a place than tacky plastic signage.

I agree with Chrissy – these are so much more interesting than neon or plain signs! What a great use of the wall space!

You beat me to it! I’ve admired this sign on many occasions. The academy seems an intriguing place, and the mural helps draw attention to it. Thanks, Ewok, for participating in Monday Mural.

I would rather see advertising in the form of an artist mural. Excellent.
In answer to your question, yes there were more Chapters a total of 5. I picked my favorite to display.

It is an acupuncture and Chinese medicine school, and is advertising the school’c clinic where students are supervised while working on patients en route to becoming practitioners.
