This is the mural for Taste of California deli and cafe in Fremont Street, Las Vegas. This was shot in 2009. I don’t know if the deli & cafe is still in business. But I liked the mural. I saw it while in Fremont Street watching the Fremont Experience Light and Sound Show.

Have to answer your question this way – as you don’t have an email link set up. The last book published was about 10 years ago by Precita Eyes, it is terribly out of date. Nicely detailed mural. though I wonder about the use of the word ‘barista’ – maybe I just never heard it before Starbucks came along, which was much later in Canada, of course

It seems the “Taste of California” involves a lot of French flavors. Haha. Business and nostalgia is an effective combination for both murals and advertising. Thanks so much for participating in this week’s Monday Mural.

The cobbled stones look so real! I hope the business is still there. Last year when we were in Las Vegas, did not even have time to go to the strip. Just did some hiking.
