WE are having some lousy weather out here. On our second week of straight rain, I cannot help but dig into the archives for some cheerful Springtime shots. My post this week is courtesy of cell phone images taken by my husband last Spring from his work’s parking lot, enjoy.

All were taken on March 26, 2010.

Here’s the deal with this week’s theme. I don’t purposely shoot license plates, except that one time in Yosemite where my friend begged and begged me to photograph it because she says it’s funny. It’s one of those personalized plates. I didn’t find it funny but to keep peace during the lenght of the Yosemite trip I gave in.
So I knew I had something to post for this week’s hunt. I opened my pc, check my albums, and found that I have license plate shots in my cache. And I wasn’t intentionally shooting at them. See what I found:

Okay I think this one I took because my husband thought it was a nice souvenir. This is from Turkey.

I was photographing my friend who’s inside the taxi but the frame included the plate. Alexandria, Egypt.

Oh a Fiat my husband exclaimed and I shoot. Alexandria, Egypt.

A mistake. I was shooting at something else on a moving bus and this was what got captured. Luckily, I didn’t delete it. Cairo, Egypt.
Hahaha! You see I did not post the one photo that I knew I had, the license plate from Yosemite. I couldn’t find it. My albums are marked by dates and I couldn’t remember the darn date

The past two weeks I have posted sunsets and to break the monotony, I am posting something from the archive.
July 18, 2010 – deep into summer and it’s gloomy and foggy. You could almost believe the quote – the coldest winter i ever saw was a summer i spent in san francisco – supposedly by mark twain.

We pulled up next to this car, my entry for this week’s WINDOW VIEWS AND DOORS TOO (#61) and SIGNS, SIGNS (#10) at the beachside hotel’s parking lot last May for our anniversary trip. They apparently also selected this same hotel for their honeymoon. I thought the signs on the car windows were funny!

Come on you can tell me, this is your favorite machine too, isn’t it?
