The fountain at Ghirardelli Square – full of people and balloons during last weekend’s Chocolate Festival.

A closer look at the mermaid and child.

Around the fountain are utensils – cup, fork, spoon, etc.
The square was overcrowded with chocolate fueled people – it was impossible to get a complete image, or detailed image of the fountain and the details without stumbling into someone.
Join the fun at WATERY WEDNESDAY.

She (the mermaid) looks like she is made of chocolate. This reminds of me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I bet Willy Wonka Ghirardelli is hiding around the corner somewhere.

So many splashes and an incredibly giant cup! There is enchantment here … especially with the mermaid and child at the center of it all.

These are wonderful! How I would have loved being there, but my vacation there ended in early July. San Francisco is one of my favorite cities. If I could, I’d return every year.

There’s nothing better than the GS chocolate festival. I used to work there for over 12 years so I got spoiled. These are great shots.
